My Son - The Bully

Yes, I actually wrote it out.....my son is a bully. Well, he may actually just be 11 months, but I'm thinking he's going to be a bully. From the time we met him we knew that he knew what he wanted. He's always been that way. Lately, he's been bullying other kids. :( I hope it's just an age thing, and he outgrows it.

This video is a good example. This was taken Easter morning in the nursery. Alex is really into opening and closing doors right now. He loves the kitchen play set in the nursery as there are 4 doors to open and close.

Watch what happens when the older kids come over to play. The little boy he pushes is almost 4 years old!!!

Yikes

First of all, that Easter outfit is the best!!! I thought that Bray was a bully, too. . . I've seen him shove and elbow bigger kids in the nursery right out of his way, and we won't even talk about the violence I've seen him pull on his cousins. But last week we had a play date with a boy that is the same age, and Brayden was the CRY BABY!! He wimpered and whined and cried very time that the other boy got near him -- I guess he was intimidated b/c they were the same size and he is used to playing with kids that are bigger, but I'm not sure what the deal was. These kids will constantly surprise us, I guess!!! Bully or not, Alex is soooooo handsome :)

Kim,
Such a funny video. I'm sure it is just the age and that he is a boy. Friends of mine have boys and they are always more agressive than the girls. I'm sure with time it will get better.

I think the politically correct way to say it is "asserting himself." You know he won't be a pushover. I think it is the age, even though other kids push Savannah and take things out of her hands and then she cries. Boys will be boys!
