Surgery Scheduled

Well - it's official - I'm having surgery.

It's scheduled for February 14th (what a great Valentine's Day Present!!). I was going to be off work that next week to go visit my parents, so I thought that would work best. My mom, bless her heart, is flying up from Florida to help us with Alex. Poor thing - she is going to be going from warm weather to our nasty cold.

I know I need to have this done - but I'm still a little freaked out. I was in the hospital a lot when I was little (and had surgery when I was almost 3) but obviously don't remember it. That is the only time I've had surgery. It's going to be outpatient - so it shouldn't be too bad.

So, bring on the "liquid" diet suggestions. I'm thinking: ice cream, pudding, jello, Gatorade and milkshakes. :)

I had the surgery when I was 30. You better do popsicles and jello, the milk in the milkshakes and pudding will make you phlemy (is that how you spell it?) And that isn't much fun =)

that is a bummer of a Valentine's present, but hopefully you'll recover quickly and stop getting sick so much. I know it helped me immensely.

Hopefully you will have a speedy recovery. COngrats on Alex pee peeing in the potty. Kaleb does it in spurts as well. He also has the same computer as Alex and loves it. He loves pushing all the buttons. It is great that your mom will be there to help out.

I found you on another blog, and saw that you are having your tonsils out. I'm 37 years old, and had my tonsils out when I was 30. Email me if you have any questions. I survived, albeit, a painful procedure. Drugs help. Alot of drugs. Ask for enough to knock out an elephant ;o)
