Alex did his first signs!!!
This morning he was playing just fine and then started having melt down. Both Jay and I thought me must be tired. Jay tried to get him to sleep, I tried to get him to sleep, and then I put him in his crib. (sometimes when he is really tired, the only way he will go to sleep is to be put in his crib) Nothing was working.
I got him back out of his crib, and was going to start rocking him again. As I sat down in the glider he signed (plain as day!!!) Milk - More - Milk. And his more was perfect!!!
I threw him at Jay (ok - maybe not a throw - but pretty close), ran into the kitchen, and made the quickest bottle ever.
Sure enough - he took the whole bottle, smiled up at me, and went back to playing - as happy as could be.
I'm still amazed that my 9 1/2 month old was able to tell me what he wanted!!!!! I'm SOOOOO happy!!!!!
(oh - and he's now cruising EVERYWHERE - and getting into EVERYTHING!!!)

YAY Alex!!! He is BRILLIANT :) I perfect more is a lot to ask of a boy!!! Bray has a non-traditionl more sign, he looks like he is calling a T-O!!

That is amazing. Kudos to Alex and his smart mommy!
THAT IS AWESOME!!!! GO, Alex, go! What a fabulous feeling!!!
I taught sign language to my daughter Victoria. When she was almost 12 months old, she made the sign for PAIN (or Ouch!), right next to her ear. She was not herself for the next day and I finally took her to the doctor.
Guess what? Victoria had an ear infection and she had already TOLD ME!
Go, Alex, Go!
too cool!
