Home - and Change in Plans!

We had a great weekend in St. Louis. Alex is such a good traveler in the car. We had "nacks" (snacks), books, DVDs, and juice. With the horse trailer, and a 2 year old, the trip took about 7 hours! Once we got to T & M's house, Alex turned into demon child. It was horrible. He wouldn't listen, he ran around like a banshee, and caused havoc wherever he went. I was embarrassed!!

He did really like the bunnies, kitties, puppies and horses at T&M's house, and they have a nice open floor plan that he really enjoyed.

I got away Saturday night and met up with my old boss, Joyce. We had a great time catching back up, eating dinner and hitting the casino.

Amazingly enough, we didn't come home with our newest addition! Jay decided that he didn't want to buy Speedy once he saw the little guy in person. Instead, we brought home one of T's 2 year old geldings. He needs some work, so Jay is going to train him this summer, try to show him a couple times, and then he will probably get sold this fall. It's fine with me, Jay gets a new horse to play with, and we didn't have to fork out any money.

I hope Alex's new behaviors this weekend were just because he was overstimulated, and not an indication of what's to come.

We also got some good news this weekend on Baby A. It looks like the latest hospital is going to be promising, but it may be another couple of weeks before the paperwork can get done.

Glad you had a good time and that is looking more positive for Baby A.

Hope the behavior was just a change of schedule--probably was. Back to routine does wonders. Don't be embarassed. Everyone that has ever had a toddler understands.

I never know if my good children (Parker and Grant) are going to show up or if their alter egos (I call them by their middle names when that happens -- Elizabeth and Avery) are. Anyone with kids totally understands, it is the ones without who don't get it.

I will keep my fingers crossed everything will work out with Baby A. You have lots of prayers so it has to work out!

Sounds like a fun weekend!!
Thanks for the update on baby A, praying for him daily.

I'm sure Alex's behavior was just temporary, so much is changing and going on in their little bodies. I get embarassed too, I'm always saying "She's never like this" trying to explain myself. People with kids understand, and those without kids, well too bad.
